Accessibility Statement
Last updated July 14, 2026. Comfort you can trust should include a website everyone can use.
Our Commitment
Comfy Castle Heating and Air wants every visitor — including people who use screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings — to be able to learn about our services, read our guides, and request help with their heating and cooling. We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA.
Measures We Take
- Semantic HTML landmarks (header, nav, main, footer) and a "Skip to content" link on every page.
- Keyboard-operable navigation: dropdown menus open and close with the keyboard and Escape key, with visible focus indicators.
- Color contrast checked against the WCAG AA ratio (4.5:1 for body text) across our brand palette.
- Motion respects your system's reduce motion preference — scroll animations are disabled and the homepage background video holds a still frame instead of playing.
- Descriptive alternative text on informative images; decorative images are hidden from assistive technology.
- Form fields with programmatic labels, visible error messages, and no time limits.
-
Consistent page structure with one
h1per page and a logical heading order. - Automated accessibility checks (axe) and manual keyboard passes are part of our pre-launch review.
Known Limitations
Some content comes from third parties we don't control — the online booking widget (Housecall Pro), financing application (Hearth), embedded maps, and review platforms. If any of these are difficult for you to use, contact us directly and we will complete the same task with you by phone or email.
